I'm considering scrapping EFF from my load order now that I understand how to use FLP, but I still enjoy EFF's ability to recruit whomever I choose. Does FLP have a setting like that I haven't discovered yet, or should I just toss EFF and settle for the absolutely staggering degree of options FLP has?EDIT: I know they have a patch that makes them work together but the point is removing patches from my load order because of redundancies. RDO doesn't really have compatibility issues.
The most problematic ones tend to be follower overhauls.That being said, if you have a very heavy load order you NEED to learn how to use SSEDIT to manage conflict resolution. There are probably plenty of mods in your load order that have conflicts that you aren't aware of that can't be solved with a Bashed Patch and a generic SSEDIT Merged Patch.If you don't want to learn how to use SSEDIT, then you're going to have to live with having mod conflicts in your load order and just trying to do your best to guess which ones should have priority over the other via positioning in your load order. I do extensively read mod descriptions, use SSEdit, Wrye Bash, LOOT, and a variety of other tools to ensure my mods play nice together to minimize conflicts, I'm certainly not the most proficient user of any of those tools but I do my best. I just wanted to have a vague idea of how much I would need to problem solve and troubleshoot for just this one mod (basically: if it was worth the trouble).I use EFF as a follower overhaul which I believe has a RDO compatibility patch. I use EFF due to the large number of followers I tend to collect and relocate and my familiarity with it's system.

I know it doesn't play nice with Follower Commentary Overhaul but imo RDO is far superior.Indeed! With FCO, followers spam every line available to their voice type, over and over, no matter how inappropriate to the context.
Also, even when you adjust the frequency settings, it doesn't change anything. They are still spamming their lines every couple of minutes.I like to pair RDO with Inigo and then bring along one of the followers he interacts with, such as Lydia or Mjoll. All of a sudden, it feels as though you have an actual, interactive party. It's not quite Dragon Age, but it's pretty close. RDO does a great job of giving the quieter followers more lines, while spacing out the comments of the more talkative followers, such as Mjoll.
Yet, in neither instance are the comments too frequent, and they are almost always intelligent in context/setting.
